The studio
Two hands, one table, since 2004.
I'm Rod. I opened this studio with Frank Broccoli in 2004, and I'm still the one holding the scissors.
No assembly line, no handing your dog off to whoever's free. You drop off with me, I do the work, and you pick up from me. That's how it's been since the beginning, and it's why most of our clients have been coming for years.
Frank was the backbone of this place and the reason I take the craft as seriously as I do. He passed in 2022. The way we work is still his way.

While you're away
You'll hear from us three times.
If you're the kind of person who worries the whole time your dog is at the groomer, you're our kind of person. A text when they arrive, a text mid-groom, and a text when they're ready. Nothing surprises you, including the price.
- · If a groom will cost more than quoted, you hear it before we begin.
- · If a groom isn't safe to finish, we stop and call you.
- · Pickup is 2 PM. Your pet is never left in a kennel waiting.
- On arrival
Hemingway's here and settled in. Coat check done — we'll go a touch shorter on the belly like last time.
- Mid-groom
Bath and dry finished, starting the scissor work. He's relaxed. Pickup still 2 PM.
- Ready
All done and looking sharp. Come by anytime after 2 — he's napping by the window.

For cats
Yes, we groom cats. Properly.
Most grooming shops in Los Angeles won't take cats, or take them badly. We book cats into a quiet window with no dogs in the room, work slowly, and never sedate. Lion cuts, comb cuts, mat removal, nails, ears, and a bath only when it's needed.

My dog Hemingway has been groomed many times over the years, but I have honestly never seen him look this good. His coat was beautifully trimmed, his paws were perfectly cleaned up, and even the little details around his face and ears were done with real care.
What impressed me the most was how calm and happy he was when I picked him up. Anyone with a dog knows that says a lot about the way they’re treated during grooming.
